Owen is so professional, and sessions are very structured and progressive, with flexible timetabling. I take lessons online, and it works really well. Owen has been an amazing asset to my musical theatre training and vocal journey overall, navigating vocal changes and exploring different genres, he is very knowledgeable in a lot of different areas. I feel more confident and comfortable in my voice after each session. I’ve learnt so much about my voice and its individual needs, he is focused on what you bring to him and pieces you’d like to work on as well as giving thought out guidance and suggestions. I highly recommend him for any vocal coaching/training that you need. On the plus, he is kind, welcoming and I never feel judged in our sessions :)

My vocal lessons with Owen have been marked by three things. One is his utter dedicated to working with me, how I like to learn and what works for me. There's no cookie-cutter approach and the lessons are structured about making me feel comfortable and making progress. The second thing is the lack of pressure. There's never any pressure on me to do a certain thing or criticism for a certain thing not happening. The approach is to work together to see things improve, working with songs which stretch me but don't expose my voice in a way I am not comfortable with. Finally, there's progress. I've seen the top end of my range really stabilise since working with Owen and - being someone who really struggles with vocal agility - I was amazed when within half an hour he'd managed to get me to the point where I could sing the opening of a song I'd always struggled with because of the ornaments on the notes.

Owen has a great understanding of how the voice works and how to diagnose issues with vocal technique. You really can't beat having someone who knows what they are doing actually listening to you sing. You can't get that from a YouTube video! Highly recommended.
